Nigerian economist Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will be the first African and first woman to lead the World Trade Organization. With many distractions, ambiguity, and in-cohesiveness, Ngozi assume control of a challenging tasks of an organization that has struggled in recent years to prevent trade discrepancy amongst members. Okonjo-Iweala is the former finance minister of Nigeria, and has growing support from her WTO counterparts, such as Japan, China, Australia, and the European Union.
