Transformation Island

Celebrating its innovational technology fabric, Stone Island is showcasing its “Stone Island_ Prototype Research_Series 04” collection, which displays over 100 uniqued clothing pieces designed and created from a method of engineering called “MANUAL FLOCKING ON NYLON METAL GRID-OVD.” This innovative way of developing clothing involves clothing garments sprayed with adhesive and then exposed to the cotton flock, which gives each of the 100 pieces a unique patina. Each piece of clothing is dipped twice in various dyes and then strung up side-by-side showcasing both the before and after effects of the process. Once purchased, consumers will start to notice a change within the product as the flock will rub off over time to create a one-of-one finish when worn. Stone Island displays their latest develop at “Tortona Design Week”.

True Religion finds itself looking for a new direction as they have announced that Allen Onyia, founder of online magazine “UpscaleHype”, to serve as the new creative director for the brand. As an ode to the University of Michigan, the good folks at Jordan Brand have developed a new players edition of the Jordan 5 retro model. Covered in Yellow suede following Blue accents with a “M” on the shoes tongue representing the University Of Michigan, The new Jordan 5 comes to us late this summer. Popular shoulder bag company Eastpak have teamed up with the iconic artistic brand of Andy Warhol to develop their third capsule collection of bags. Japanese leading photographer and contemporary artist Nobuyoshi Araki has designed a floral collaboration with clothing brand Uniform Experiment to develop a polaroid-inspired menswear collection for the upcoming fall. Seattle’s Super Return

Back from their 24 year hiatus, the city series inspired “Seattle” Air Jordan 10’s have finally made their triumphant return for Jordan Brand enthusiast to consume. Most famously known for being on the foot of former Seattle SuperSonics guard Kendall Gill, the sought after retro’s come back to their true pure form. In one of the most unique collaborations to date, it has been announced that world famous video producer Hideo Kojima and superior clothing brand Places + Faces have come together to collaborate in a joint venture capsule collection for the eagerly anticipated “Death Stranding” video game. The collection will consist of knit wearable sweaters, branded tees, and their complimenting shoulder bags. With only a known tag line “Tomorrow is in your hands”, which spawns from a scene in “Death Stranding” itself, little is very known about the unexpected collaboration. To kick off the 2020 MLB Season, Major League Baseball has now partnered up with Nike to produce their MLB uniforms for all baseball teams associated with the league. The MLB ended their partnership with Under Armor this past season, and negotiated a 10 year contract with Nike to produce all of their league uniforms. It was at the annual NBA “media day” for the 2019-2020 season where we first got a glimpse of the now official LeBron James “Media Day” Lebron 7’s. Luxury Streetwear brand KITH has teamed up with the New York Knicks and Nike to develop a multitude of fashionable brand pieces that mimic the traditional Knicks color way. From an onslaught of All over print hoodies, sweat pants, water repellent jackets, and New Era 59fifty caps, the new collection aims to restore the classic 90’s vibe of fashion and sports. Lastly, the collection is capped off by the KITH x AF1 collaboration, which strikingly mirror’s the Nike AF1″Taiwan” editions. Carmine’s 30th Anniversary

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1991 release of the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine”, Jordan Brand will release the “Carmines” in 2021 on February 13th. First retroed in 2008 as apart of the infamous 17/6 “CDP” Jordan pack collection, the Carmines take their original form as the silhouette will consist of the original “Nike Air” branding on its heels. This is the first time since 91′ that the model will have the distinctive logo, which made it a fan favorite amongst sneaker and sports enthusiasts. This Tinker Hatfield creation continues to show the longevity of the Jordan Brand collection.

NBA superstar Lebron James see’s his signature shoe line come of age with its 18th installment of the “LeBron”. Accented with multiple animal prints, knitted beige-tonal shell, bright colored graphics on the tongue and heel, this looks to be one Lebron’s most unique color ways to date. After 25 years with the leading sneaker brand in the retail industry today, Ann Hebert resigned from her top position in Nike as Vice President and General Manager of Nike’s North America division. After reports from Bloomberg Business week implicated that her son (Joe Hebert) used her credit card along with Bots to purchase of 600 pairs of highly sought after sneakers, Hebert evacuated from the company, immediately. Joe Hebert was using his mothers corporate American Express card to make elaborate sneaker purchases and build stock in his reselling business. There are also other reports that Joe would use his mothers company discount to purchases sneakers in bulk from Nike outlet stores. A question of business ethics and morals arises from this shocking event, and only ignites the fuel of distaste and lack of enthusiasm many purist of the sneaker culture once possessed.

With colors of Grey and White, and White, Yankee Blue, and Gum bottom, the Nike Air Force 1 “NYC” jewel mids pays homage to the city that never sleeps with their latest color ways. Set to release in the upcoming weeks on Nike.com and select nike retailers, the “NYC” duo look to re-establish the vintage Nike era with their color ways and classic bubble jewel swoosh. The Grey and White pair will represent Manhattan, a borough of New York while the the White and Blue pair will represent the Bronx, another borough of New York City. New Yorkers and sneaker enthusiasts alike will appreciate this latest drop from Nike.

The Mix Of The Jungle

Nike releases of images of this years “safari” edition of the popular Nike Dunk low in a palette of various colors blended with animal prints of cheetah, elephant, and faux fur. Initially, the Nike Dunk “Safari” edition was slated to release in 2021 but would be shelved indefinitely. The safari print has long been a fan favorite and stands the test of time amongst popular color ways and renditions of our favorite shoe models. This years edition is slated to release in the upcoming weeks, and can be found at select retailers and Nike’s online website.

The forthcoming reiteration of the infamous Nike Air Force 1 mid-model dresses up a retro favorite in the Nike Air Force 1 “Jewel” with a silhouette of shiny patent leather brown, amber orange, and a sail colored sole. Titled “Ale Brown”, this color way will accompany the “Independence Day” color way model slated to release this year. The “jewel” model of the Air Force 1 has most notoriety from its low-top model, but the mid-tops and high-tops are still fan favorites, and this latest rendition just may quench the thirst of a vibrant long sought after version of the classic shoe. As of now, there is no definitive release date as to when the “Ale Brown” will release. They are said to release at select retailers and Nike.com.

Step In The Name Of Love

Continuing with their traditional lovers day rendition of the classic Air Force 1 low top model, Nike has released images of the upcoming 2022 “Valentines” edition Air Force 1 low. The silhouette consist of heave light pink accents, coupled with touches of red and the lettering of “LOVE” and “NIKE” on the swoosh and shoe string holders. The 2022 “Valentines” edition is priced at $110, and will release sometime in February on NIKE’s website as well as at select retailers.

The Tortoise And Its Shell

The “Tortoiseshell” edition Nike Huarache looks to develop a division of style and flash to retro shoe model that first stepped onto the scene in 1991. You get uniqueness blended with minimalism that develops a very intrinsic NIKE runner that aims to service the every other day stylish persona of what citizens in the every day mix of life can enjoy. The “Tortoiseshell” Nike Huarache is slated to release in the very near future, and they will retail at $120.

Familiar Family Members

The newest addition to the Simpson’s family SB collection has just rolled in as Nike is slated to release the “Bart Simpson” SB low dunks this upcoming year. Following after the “Homer” SB dunks lows “Marge” SB dunk highs, the newest addition to the historic Simpson’s collection see’s the traditional Bart Simpson character color way. Yellow gold, Red, and Blue makeup the dunk low pro. With no official date, the latest Simpson edition will more than likely be a year favorite. The last Simpson’s release was in 2008 (Marge Simpson editions), which followed the original dad himself with the release of the “Homers” in 2004. Orbiting through the sneaker world to help celebrate Nike’s 40 year illustrious run within the shoe industry, the Nike Air Force 1 low see’s the “Satellite” model circulate into the ever growing collection that is the Nike Air Force 1. Dressed in accent of tan, sky blue, red, and a crystal gum bottom sole, the “Satellite” Air Force 1 low edition stands out as its own celestial being amongst this years sneaker releases. Denim Tears creator and founder Tremaine Emory plans to bring a cultural renaissance to legendary street wear brand Supreme. Being newly appointed as the creative director of the skateboard cult-fashion brand, Emory provides a different perspective of creativity and concept. Through collaborations with companies like Levi, Converse, and UGG, Tremaine Emory has more than proven his ability to shift the traditional way of curating garments that stand aside from their traditional clothing counterparts. By Any Means Legendary

Set to release on March 3rd, Supreme will drop its highly coveted Nike Dunk SB collaboration known as the “By Any Means” pack. With three iterations decorated in Green/Yellow, Red/Blue, and Black/White with the “By Any Means” scripture on the back panel and “No” scripture accompanied with a heart symbol on the front side panel, the release stems from the “By Any Means” clothing series that released in 2008. The Spring/Summer 2022 release to much delight will give enthusiast the opportunity to continue the tradition of establishing their selves in the street wear brand and creative community of culture.

March 24th see’s the release of the Nike Dunk Low “Vintage Green” women’s edition. Continuing its cultural comeback, the “Vintage Green” Nike Dunk low is highlighted by dark Green panels, a vintage cream colored inspired mid-sole, and tones of white, and a dark Green sole. Life On Venice

Celebrating 40 years of growth, prosperity and prestige, Nike is set to drop its latest edition to the Air Force one family with the “Venice” mid-top edition Air Force ones. The anniversary edition will feature a light Pink textured upper base accompanied by a White leather Nike swoosh and light pink gum bottom sole. The pair will release on the Nike website and at select retailer locations during summer 22′ at $150.

The highly fashionable retro Air Jordan 1 will get the classic Black and White treatment with the “Panda” editions dropping in Spring, 2023. The 85′ high classic model will see all classic vintage silhouettes from the Air Jordan wings to the Nike Air logo on the shoe tongue, which provides the nostalgic feel that we’ve all come to know, love and appreciate. The Air Jordan 1 has consistently been one of the most sought after shoe no matter the colorway for some years now. Last retried in 2014, the Air Jordan 1 85′ high “Panda” is set to kick back open the door soon.

Life Box Of Choclates

In 2023, Nike will provide us with some form of clarity during times of ambiguity with the classic Air Force One “Chocolate” mid-top editions. The vintage silhouette hasn’t been released since 1998′, a classic year in itself due to the immense amount of cultural projects that dropped during that time period. The mid-top models is covered in a chocolate brown suede, and it is highlighted with a cream sole, leather swoosh and shoe strings to match. With a price tag of $150, we might not know all of the things that we’re going to get in life, but we do know one thing for sure, and that is that the “Chocolates” are coming back!

The Anniversary Jewel

Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1, Nike provides us with a jewel with its special take on the iconic Nike Air Force 1 “Jewel”. Not much is known yet about this release, except that it will take consist of an all White base, white leather check and clear jewel check, with gold accents. “82-22” will cover the insoles, highlight the 40 years of relevancy.
